Granville Records’s approach to business must be placed in the context of the modern entertainment universe. We are a full service quad-media brand that consists of non-mutually exclusive entities: Granville Records, Granville Music Publihing, Granville Management and Granville Films. The company’s reach is to adjust the vision on how a new independent music artist, filmmaker, and label relationship looks.
At Granville, we emphasize on viral marketing campaigns and social media applications. We strive to be a 100% plugged in-and a virtual business.
The Reason
The new music industry is about creating opportunities that never existed in the past. The team at Granville has spent the last few years gaining industry relationships that support digital distribution, publicity across North America, radio promotion, TV media promotion and college promotion.
The Past
Granville Records has been laying under the radar over the last few years. Darin Roche (President) brought his 12 years of music business experience to the front end in 2007. “I felt it was time to share my music knowledge of what I have learned both in the past and also most importantly the present.” Darin has been touring extensively with co-owner/label artist Sheva since early in 2006. Sheva had been touring throughout the US and Canada.
They had discovered a niche market for the pop rock acoustic scene. Bookstore’s and coffee houses were at the top of the list, while clubs and underground bars were very much in the background. Now with the connections in this market from northern Canada to southern US, they keep pushing forward and adding new venues of this flavor and creating a market that, up until now was pretty much untapped. With the addition of our rock and hip hop artists, new relationships are being built to provide the same type of service we offer to singer/songwriters.
